Who Benefits from Section 125 Plans?
This session will review financial projections of the financial impact of Section 125 plans for individuals and the state programs. It will also look at which income groups are most affected by the tax benefits they provide and how they interact with the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

Implementation: Learning from Other States
The Massachusetts reform plan included a requirement that employers set up Section 125 plans for their employees, regardless of whether they provide insurance to those employees. The state has set up guidance for MA employers and have recently gotten feedback from employers in the state about how the program is working You will hear from officials in Massachusetts and Minnesota as well as a business representative in Massachusetts.
