Enrollment in Wisconsin's BadgerCare Plus Program Exceeds Expectations

On February 1, 2008, Wisconsin launched the BadgerCare Plus program, which expanded and simplified eligibility for health coverage in the state. In the first six weeks of the program, more than 71,000 individuals—many of them children and the majority of whom were previously uninsured—were enrolled in the program.
