SCI can provide personalized technical assistance (TA) to help your state develop coverage expansion programs. This may include budgeting and financial planning, program planning, marketing, and other aids to development and implementation.

For example, SCI can provide the staff and financial support to:

  • Organize on-site meetings with state policymakers and health care leaders to brainstorm strategies and techniques for expansions.
  • Provide information and answer questions for state officials on an ongoing basis.
  • Design and conduct policy retreats for state officials and other stakeholders.
  • Bring state leaders together to exchange ideas and learn more about specific coverage issues.
  • Conduct annual meetings highlighting current trends and cutting-edge strategies.
  • Produce publications, including technical manuals and issue briefs.

Assistance may be offered directly by staff members or in the form of a grant to pay for the services of an outside consultant. TA may be provided in person, by electronic media such as telephone, video, or e-mail, or by other means. Please note: SCI is unfortunately not able to help in all situations. While we do our best, we have limited time and resources.
